Frequently Asked Questions
Do you host events year-round?
Yes. L’Eau Hill hosts events throughout the year. Our peak season runs April through October and our off-peak season is November through March.
What are your event hours?
All events must take place between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. This timeframe includes your setup and breakdown unless otherwise arranged.
How many guests can we invite?
L’Eau Hill is intentionally intimate. Our capacity is 40 guests.
Can we serve alcohol?
Yes. Beer, wine, and champagne may be self-served to guests 21+ years and older. If you wish to serve hard liquor or mixed cocktails, a licensed and insured bartender is required. We can provide a list of amazing bartenders who are familiar with our home and have served our guests for prior events
Where do guests park?
Free street parking is available on nearby streets which is a 1 minute or less walk from our residence. A parking attendant is onsite to greet guests and guide them as they arrive. Parking is ample, and the property is easy to locate.
What are your music policy?
L’Eau Hill maintains a peaceful neighborhood setting, and we honor local noise ordinances. Guests are welcome to use our Bluetooth sound system to stream music for their event from a phone or laptop at a reasonable and moderate volume. We do not allow loud music, DJs, live bands, musicians or external speakers to be brought on site.
What happens if it rains?
Several of our event packages include our beautiful high peak white tents as an option for aesthetics, shade, as well as weather protection. If not already included, our tents can be added for an additional fee with advance notice.
Do you provide an onsite host?
Yes. Every event includes an on-site House Manager who serves as the primary contact for you and your vendors on the day of your event.
Is décor included?
L’Eau Hill is beautifully styled and ready to use as-is, but additional décor is not included in the venue rental (please note some items displayed in our past event gallery include items provided by a decorator or stylist). Guests are welcome to bring in their own décor, such as balloons, florals, arches, signage or drapery. We highly recommend our in-house stylist, Always June, whose designs complement the property perfectly. Outside vendors are also welcome with prior approval.
Can we bring our own food or caterer?
Yes. Catering is welcome with a licensed caterer, or guests may bring their own prepared food. Please note that kitchen access is not automatically included in every package — it can be added upon request if needed for catering prep or warming. Please note that while couples and caterers are welcome to cook on the outdoor grills, we do not permit onsite cooking inside the kitchen (outside of warming or food prep) due to liability. Caterers are strongly suggested to bring food cooked and warm along with chaffers and burners for food service.
Is setup and cleanup included?
Your booked hours should include time for setup and breakdown by you or your vendors. At the end of the event, all personal items — including food, alcohol, and décor — must be removed from the property. Our team handles post-event cleaning (with the exception of bagging and trashing food/decor as this is a guest responsibility), which is included in most event packages, so you can simply gather your belongings and enjoy the moment.
Do you require event insurance?
Yes. We require event insurance for the protection of both you and the property. We recommend EventHelper.com, which provides affordable coverage (typically $75–$85 for a one-day policy).
Can the pool be used?
Yes. The pool area is available for décor or ambiance year-round. Swimming is permitted from April through mid-November, weather permitting. After November 15, the pool remains uncovered but is not available for swimming.
Do you allow overnight stays?
Yes. L’Eau Hill offers seasonal overnight stays, typically available from April through August, based on availability and family discretion. The home sleeps up to eight guests and offers a serene retreat experience following your celebration. For events that include an overnight stay, a few additional policies apply:
A refundable security deposit and additional cleaning fee are required.
The standard event hours (9 a.m.–9 p.m.) remain in effect. All non-overnight guests must depart by 9 p.m. in accordance with event times and local noise ordinances.
Our house manager and parking attendant must remain on-site during the event time frame to ensure a seamless experience and remain until the conclusion of the event and departure of all non-overnight guests.
Overnight stays combined with events are approved on a case-by-case basis, depending on the nature and duration of the celebration.
During peak season (April–October), overnight bookings may require a full weekend buyout and may reflect a higher rate than weekday stays.
If you’re interested in combining your event with an overnight stay, please inquire early so our team can review availability and create a custom quote for your dates.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend reserving your wedding date as early as possible to ensure availability.
• During peak season (April–October), especially for weekend dates, we suggest booking 6–9 months in advance.
• For off-peak dates (November–March), a 3–6 month lead time is typically sufficient.
We accept bookings up to 12 months in advance and do not book events scheduled less than 2 weeks out.
How do we reserve our date?
A signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable deposit are required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to your event. Once your deposit and agreement are received, your date is officially confirmed on our calendar.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please note that a full refunds of the deposit paid is not permitted. However, if you cancel your event more than 90 days in advance, we will refund 50% of the deposit paid. Cancellations made with 90 days or less notice of the event date will result in full forfeiture of the full deposit. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, thus we offer a one time date change with a 30 day notice.
