Welcome to L’Eau Hill

We’re so happy to host you here at L’Eau Hill — a place for rest, joy, and meaningful gatherings. This home is very special to us, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Below are a few notes to help guide your stay and ensure the experience is comfortable, respectful, and memorable for all.

Getting Settled

  • Wi-Fi Network: Norwood and Password: erika555

  • TV Streaming: We don’t offer cable but feel free to log in to your favorite streaming platforms via the smart TVs throughout the home. If you run into any login issues, just let us know.

  • Nest Thermostats: You’ll find these throughout the home (in the front guest room hallway, 2nd story master bedroom, and Glass View Room behind the water feature) — feel free to adjust to your comfort in those areas. We just ask that you avoid setting the cooling below 68°F to avoid system strain.

  • Locked Cabinets & Closets: Some areas are secured for personal storage. We appreciate your understanding and respect for these spaces.

Parking

  • You’re welcome to park in the paved driveway on the right-hand side of the home (facing the house from the street). It fits two cars comfortably.

  • Please do not park in the gravel driveway on the left of our home, which belongs to our neighbor.

  • For additional cars, please park on Nolan Street or Dalton Street — both are just a few homes away and typically have plenty of space.

  • Important Notes: Please do not park on Hill Street or block mailboxes, driveways, or stop signs. Our neighbors are lovely, and we want to keep it that way.

  • If you’re hosting an approved event during your stay, a parking attendant will be on-site to help direct parking during event hours.

House Rules & Considerations

  • Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. outdoors out of respect for our neighbors.

  • Security & Cameras: For your safety and ours, outdoor cameras are monitoring exterior door entrances, the pool area, and the driveway.

  • Trash: Please bag all trash and place it in the trash/recycling bins near the mailbox.

  • Guests: Only approved guests are permitted to stay overnight. No additional overnight guests or unapproved gatherings can take place. After approved events, our parking/security attendant will ensure all guests are offsite promptly at the event end time before departing.

  • Smoking: We are a completely smoke-free property — indoors and outdoors. This includes no smoking of cigarettes, cigars, hookah, or vaping. A $1,000 fee will be imposed for smoking onsite.

  • Pets: While we love animals, we do not allow pets — including service animals — inside the home or anywhere on the property. This applies to both overnight guests and event attendees.

  • Approved Events + Overnight Stays: If you have a reserved and approved event, there will be staff on site (for parking and security) during the reserved event hours. All guests, except those approved for staying overnight, must leave the property promptly after the event concludes. Onsite staff will be onsite to confirm the event has ended and will leave only after all guests have departed.

Bedrooms, Closets & Linens

  • You’ll find extra linens, towels, and pool towels in the closet of the front guest bedroom to the right of the kitchen. That closet also holds a queen-sized air mattress with bedding, which you're welcome to use in any open space that works for you.

  • We kindly ask that guests not sleep on the white living room sofa to help preserve its longevity.

  • If you move furniture to make space, no problem — just please handle it with care and be sure to move the furniture back before checkout.

  • Some closets and cabinets are locked and/or marked as private. These are for homeowner storage, so we appreciate your understanding and respect for those spaces.

Trash, Laundry & Housekeeping

  • Bag and remove any outdoor trash each night, especially food or drinks near grills, pool area, and patio to avoid attracting pests.

  • Do not leave trash in outdoor bins overnight, please bag and discard them in the large dumpsters in front of the home near the mailbox.

  • Our laundry room is not available at this time for guest use, but you’re welcome to leave used towels in the laundry basket located in the hallway near the guest bathroom.

Additional Amenities

  • Tissue & toiletries: Stocked under the bathroom sinks and hallway linen closet.

  • Iron & ironing board: Available in the front guest bedroom closet.

  • First-aid basics: Located in the bathroom cabinet.

  • Cleaning Supplies: Located in the lower kitchen cabinet to the left of the sink. Mops, brooms, additional cleaning supplies and vacuums can be found in the linen closet between the front two guest bedrooms

Music, Bluetooth Setup & Respectful Volume

We want you to enjoy your time at L’Eau Hill, and that includes streaming your favorite music — thoughtfully.

Outdoor Sound Bar

  • Our Bluetooth speaker and remote is located on the outdoor fridge (covered patio near the jacuzzi)

  • Power on, press Pair, and connect to “Samsung AV”

  • Please keep the volume level at or below 60.

Indoor Sound Bar

  • Located under the TV in the front living room. Remote is on the TV console

  • Same setup: power on, press Pair, connect to “Samsung AV”

Music/Noise Guidelines
Because our home is situated close to neighbors and we host a variety of events and guests overnight each weekend, all guests must follow the house rules below related to music and outdoor noise to be respectful of our community, home, and neighbors:

  • Please do not use your personal Bluetooth speakers (outdoors) - this is a strict policy as we have set the approved volume levels of music on our speakers that are allowed by our neighborhood.

  • Outdoor music must be off by 9:30 p.m. Please note that neighborhood quiet hours begin at 10 p.m.

  • Indoor music off by 10:30 p.m.

  • During events, our house manager (she lives just a few houses away) or next-door neighbor may alert us if the outdoor noise/music volume exceeds what’s respectful — we’ll pass along the message if needed.

Grills & Outdoor Cooking

  • Gas Hibachi-Style Flat Top Grill: Propane is typically provided. If the tank runs out, you may exchange it at a local gas station.

  • Charcoal Grill: You’re welcome to use it, but please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

  • Kindly clean the grill after use and remove any leftover food, trash, or debris. This helps us keep pests away and ensures the next guests enjoy a fresh space too.

Pool, Jacuzzi & Outdoor Areas

  • Pool Hours: 8 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

  • Please note the jacuzzi, pool light, and outdoor string lights remain on 24/7.

  • Pool floats and toys can be found in a gray bin near pool.

  • A pool net is located outside beside the pool to remove leaves or debris (feel free to toss those into the composting planter boxes near the pool).

  • Please do not adjust the pool heater or pump system. It is pre-programmed and sensitive.

  • Please note the hot tub stays plugged in and turned on 24/7 and is pre-set for optimal comfort. Simply remove the cover when ready to use and replace the cover afterward. Hot tub Jets operate on a timer and will activate automatically as needed.

  • We have outdoor furniture covers located in the gray bin and the large pineapple storage (in the carport area) that you can use if rain is expected — otherwise, the cushions will stay damp for a few hours post-shower.

  • Towels are provided for pool use for overnight guests. Please avoid using white bath towels outside.

  • While we treat for bugs weekly, you are welcome to use any available bug spray, tiki torches, and thermacells to repel mosquitoes.

  • No glass near the pool area.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Please note: Indoor furniture cannot be used outdoors at any time or for any reason.

  • Please do not add any chemicals to the pool or jacuzzi unless requested or approved by the owner or house manager.

Glass Bifold Doors (Glass View Room)

The glass doors leading out to the covered patio in the Glass View Room are bifold style and require gentle, deliberate handling. We’ve provided a short how-to video for opening and closing them properly — it’s important that anyone using them watches the video first to avoid any accidental damage or getting them stuck.
